creativity. Ballet can be traced to Italy

during the 1400's at the time of the

Renaissance.

2. Breakdance

Learn the foundations of breakdancing, a

combination of popping, and locking. 

Breakdance blew up in the 80s where it

was born on the streets of the Bronx,

America.

3. Commercial/Hip Hop/Streetdance

This popular class is a euphoric fusion of

many dance styles. Learn the latest

dance moves to the coolest music in this

Hip Hop class where everyone has fun.

Develop choreography, focus, strength,

and agility while having fun.

4. Contemporary

A dynamic and expressive form of dance. It

emphasises creative and individualised

movements, often blurring the boundaries

between various dance styles and

incorporating elements of both classical

and modern techniques.


5. Exercise/Keep Fit

Engage in physical activity or exercise to

maintain and improve one's overall health

and fitness.

 

6. Jazz

Jazz is a fusion of Jazz, lyrical,

contemporary and stretching techniques

with funky moves. Jazz stems from

America, New Orleans in the Deep South.

Choreographers Alvin Ailey and Bob Fosse

made Jazz dance famous. 

7. Musical Theatre

Around the world musical theatre dance is

highly popular. Learn routines for West 

End shows.

8. Tap

Started in America, tap was favoured by

Duke Ellington and Count Basie. This

dance style is usually associated with the

films and musicals of Gene Kelly and Fred

Astaire. Develop motor skills and rhythm.
